She has extensive experience working with public four-year institutions, including land, sea and space grant campuses.

Brian created and implemented the Bonner Leaders program at Virginia Wesleyan University, established an engagement tracking system, increased course and co-curricular engagement, and led VWU through an effective Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement application in 2020. Additionally, Brian serves on the board of Philanthropy Southwest; previously, he led community-engaged programs at Mount Holyoke College.
